Day 7 : Which is the LAST Day in shanghai.Today morning we had breakfast at the same restaurant we had for everyday. After our breakfast we went up to pack our luggage for our journey to Singapore. When i had packed finished we still need to wait for some slow packers.I do not mean to insult u all. When everyone had gathered we take the bus and set off to the maglev train. it take about 5 minutes to reach the airport while travelling at 301 km/hour that is the fastest train i had ever ride. The plane to Singapore take about 5 to 6 hours and i actually fall asleep as yesterday night i did not sleep.So Now lets say goodbye to SHANGHAI and my home sweet home SINGAPORE.I wish there will be more of these kind of trip.I WILL MISS SHANGHAI!

Day 6 Today WE had fun the whole day as we had much more freedom den other days in shanghai as it is the last day we will be sleeping in the Shanghai Hotel. Today we went to many old places to shop and find things that we like i did not buy anything as there are things that i dun like and the things i like is expensive!$$$$ That why i did not buy the things as the
beginning days i bought lots of stuff.:)

I cannot believe how fast time passes by.Today is the last day of the trip. I can't wait to ride the Maglev train. I checked my bags and got ready downstairs. When we reached the Maglev train station we were anxious to board the train. When we boarded the train, Jeremy and I sat at the very end of our cabin (Near the speed meter). I took a video of the speed. Over hundreds of KM that took hours to reach via bus, we took only 4 minutes....
we soon took off from Shanghai. GOODBYE SHANGHAI. HELLO SINGAPORE!!!

Today was one of the most memorable days during the trip. We first went to an old historic temple which was one of the landmarks in Shanghai. It was gigantic.We then went to a shopping district which was near the temple. The Muslim teacher from Montford showed me where the Muslim restaurant was located (A Muslim restaurant near a temple is a bit ridiculous). Instead of going to the restaurant i went to the Coffee Bean near there ( Yes, Coffee Bean is halal). After lunch we went shopping. I had $20 RMB (Around S$4) left, so i bargained for a fan which was $19 RMB. Went I got nearer to the meeting point, I saw my friends and joined them. One of them had been conned and they want me to follow them to report. Soon the tour guide called the police. The boss gave face for my friend $1oo+ RMB. We then went to the Shanghai Urban Planning Museum which was getting ready for an expo. I did not do anything much, Jeremy,Mervin and some other guys sat together and listened to funny songs. We then went to "Raffles City" for more shopping. Instead, Jeremy, Evan, Eugene and I went to the arcade to play shooting games. Before we went back to assemble we went to the mall to window shop. The original converse shoes there was MUCH cheaper than ones sold in Singapore.

In the maglev train...
The clouds..We reaching Singapore alr..I was like playing UNO when i took this...I was playing UNO with Nelson, Nerissa, Jeremy and Kelvin...Today was the last day we will be in shanghai.. We went to take the maglev train.. We went to take the bus to the station than from the maglev train station we went to the airport...It was about 7 minutes ride to airport... After the immigration, we went to board the plane and sat down until the plane was up in the sky..After awhile the air stewards started to serve everyone drinks and our lunch.. After lunch i went to the back as i need to go to the toilet than i saw Nerissa , Su Min, Nelson and Mrs Chua.. Went back to my sit for awhile than i went to the back and play UNO with Nelson and Nerissa.. Than after awhile Jeremy came to play.. Than after that Kelvin came to play.. After awhile we had to go back to our sits as it was about to land.. Last of all, i would like to thank speedB company for their wounderful tour guide for the past 7 days and i would like to thank Mr Lin and Mrs Chua for their care and concern for the 19 of us during the whole trip.^^ THANK YOU..

Farewell dinner, the goup leader went to collect the gift for their group members
One of the shops at the BundToday was actually free and easy day.. We were alot to go any where just to buy things.. All of us the girls went to shop with mrs chua.. Before we went to shop, we went to had out lunch..Since Nerissa likes to eat xiao long bao, we decided to have xiao long bao for lunch.. There was like a super long queue sia. We had to wait for awhile.. The xiao long bao is nice..By the time we eat finish we were all so full.. After eatting we went to shop.. After that we went to gather and headed for the farewell dinner.. After the farewell dinner, during the bus ride we had our debrief for the next day as we had to pack our luggage... Nerissa wanted me to go over to her room as the only rooms i went was Mr Lin's room and my own room which is also m=Mrs Chua room... So we asked Mrs Chua if we could go and she allowed me.. I could only be in their room for 45 mins as we had to sleep early cause we need to check out of the hotel early..

The oriental pearl tower..very big..

The night scenary during the night walk..The oriental pearl from there...Today, we went to the oriental pearl tower. It was very crowded today as it is a weekend. When we wanted to go up to the highest part of the biulding, there was alot of people quing up. We waited for about 1hr but we did not go up as there is not mush time left and the lift broke down. It was very crowded and hot while waiting. I was like so tired from standing for so long none stop after i came out of the queue. When we wanted to get out of the oriental pearl tower, it started to rain and when we reach the hotel in the room after the debrief for next day, mrs chua and i went to on the tv and watch news in chinese.. We saw that the oreintal pearl tower had flood after the heavy rain. We were very lucky to get out of there on time..

Day 5: During the morning the Teachers bring us to Shanghai Science Centre which was So much BIGGER than Singapore Science Centre . In there i watch the 4D pirates and after we go take a ride in the digestive system.For dinner the teachers gave us 40
RMB to buy our own food and have 2 hours to go to where we wanted to go.Today we had Fun.

During the morning we went to the shanghai science centre which was bigger than the one situated in singapore. It was so nice. At the end, I did not get to ride the 4-D ride of the digestive system. We than went to the oriental pearl tower. We could not reach the top most floor because the lift broke down. We than went to a mega shopping mall. I ate a cheese cake and an ice-blended drink. After shopping we went for a night walk by the river. The scenery was beautiful. We than went to the hotel for debrief.

Day 4:
Today We went to the the areospace centre to see their rockets and their technology which is great and i bought a small rocket for my memory.After that we went tooriental Green boat to do a race around the challenging paths and some must use ur strenght to go through like the rope and mire if them.After that we went to see some pictures of the olden times.

Today we went to the Shanghai Aerospace Centre which was right beside our hotel. The place was very interesting. Too bad we could not take pictures of the second floor because it was "Top Secret". We bought rocket models at the souvenir centre. I bought 2 small rockets and 1 large rocket. We then went to the Oriental Greenboat, it was very fun but tiring. There was a very difficult obstacle course we must accomplish. Before the Greenboat, we went to a town that is told to be more than a 1000 years old. We bought a lot of souvenirs there. Today i learnt about the history of China and learnt to save money.

We packed our bags to get ready for a hotel transfer. I was careless enough to leave a hanger at the old hotel. Before we were transported to the hotel, the astronautics hotel. We went to the hosting school, "The Gold Apple Bilingual School". I was shocked to see how big the school was. It is a few times bigger than the schools from Singapore. At the school we had a taste of school life in China and a lecture on Astronautics. Then we checked in to the hotel. We had a debrief and then it was time to sleep. I learnt to be more careful and learned about the school life there and learned to make rockets.

Day 3:We went back to the gold apple school to attend lesson with them and we had paint our own pictures as it was a art class . After the class we went to eat lunch in their school.We make our own rocket and lauched it and it was fun.I am still happy that i can launch a rocket on my own.

When I woke up I quickly got ready and went to the fifth floor for breakfast. There was so much food ! When I went down to the first floor , we had to go to the bus. My
roommate and some other people overslept! We fist went to the shanghai
museum. We took so much pictures , then we went to the hosting school for the last time * insert sad music * , we had a rocket launching session followed by returning back to the hotel . When we went back to the hotel , we were
debriefed. I learned to launch rockets made in China and the differences between our rockets and the Chinese rockets.

Day 1:
My parents fetch me to the airport and while waiting for the teachers to come my parents took pictures of me with the things in the airport example ,(The lift ,Windmill and the lights.)After that more people come and the teachers come too.After that, they gave us things to give the gold apple students.After that the plane reached and we all go on to the plane.In the starting i feel terrible and had a headache.when i get use to the surrounding i feel better.After that we reach Shanghai and they transfer us to the Peach blossom Hotel.I am happy as it is my 1st time taking a plane.

Before i continue with this entry , i would like to thank the instructors from the Company SpeedB for this competition , Mr Lin and Mrs Chua for accompaning us for this trip and finally my group mates and my friends for the fun i experienced during this Trip

On the second day we had a mad dash to finish our breadfast and check out from our temporary hotel , we set off for our host school " Golden Apple Bilangual School ". However we did not ride on the bullet train as it was reschedued to the last day. At the host School we were greeted by their school band. Despite the interesting performance I felt that their players did not really have a passion for playing from what I observed.
Following the performance we entered aa conference room where we were breifed and sent on our way to have lessons together with a class in their school. From what I could tell it was an art lesson which was confirmed by the painting of spoons which followed.
Upon the class ending we proceeded to lunch which was prior to the making of fire rockets which were propelled by solid fuels instead of air pressure. My table had a chinese student assigned to us to aid us with the rocket making however the other students at the table were not very warm to him which displeased me I tried to befriend him with what little chinese I knew.
With the ending of the rocket making session we left the school for dinner at a restraunt nearby our main hotel and then had our debriefing and had schenigans throughout the night which woud result in some chaos during the morning of the next day.

On the first day, i checked my luggage for the last time. But not the hand luggage.My brother and my mother sent me via car. My father was working so he said he would meet us at Swensen's restaurant as we were going there for lunch. As it was my last day at Singapore for the whole week. I bought a set lunch that comes with salad, drinks and a scoop of ice-cream.
After lunch I quickly assembled at the 1st floor. When we were all ready, we went to go pass immigration. When we went pass the gate they checked our hand luggage. Went they checked our bags the whole group was delayed because they found a pair of scissors inside my bag.
After the delay we went inside the aeroplane.

Being careful as the water will be splash on them...Day 3, the event that impress me is the rocket friendly competition. It was fun. Everyone took turn to luanch the fire rocket. After everyone had launch the fire rocket, than six boys from our school went to launch the water rocket we made the night befor. Our water rocket launching was so impressive that the whole school requested on the second round for both the distance rocket and parachut rocket. I really enjoyed myself during the competition. The water rocket taught me that teamwork is important in order to build a good rocket.
